All students must wear correct dance clothes and exercise correct grooming in all dance classes. All students are required to have the uniform within one month of commencing classes. We cannot stress enough the importance of uniforms. They not only enhance the student's sense of importance as a dancer, but also gives them that sense of pride and ownership in their dance school and their dancing group. Please see attached Uniform List for more information regarding uniform and grooming. Jazz/Tap/Funk/Contemporary/Acro Class
- Studio Singlet , Twin Racer or Studio Crop Top
- Studio ¾ length Jazz Pants or Studio Shorts or Studio Dance Pants
- Camel Jazz Shoes Jazz Shoes, Camel Tap Shoes for ages Junior and below
- Black Jazz Shoes or Black Tap Shoes for ages Pre-Intermediate and above
- No shoes in Acro or Contemporary
- Thin socks or sockettes to be worn with Jazz/Tap shoes
- Hair must be pulled back off the face either up in a pony tail or bun
Ballet Class
- Navy Sleeveless Cotton Lycra leotard
- Pink Ballet tights must be worn to ballet class (No other tights or pants are allowed)
- Pink Ballet Shoes
- Black Character Shoes for Grade 1 and above
- Pink Ballet skirt for Tiny Tots, Pre-Primary & Primary Ballet (Supplied by the studio)
- Character skirt for Grade 1 and above (Supplied by the Studio)
- Hair must be pulled back into a neat bun
Cross-Over Wraps
- Navy Cross-Overs may be worn in class in cooler weather
Please Note:
- Definitely no dangly earrings, watches, bracelets, necklaces or large rings to be worn in class, as they are potentially dangerous and distracting. Dance students are not allowed to wear any loose clothes such as t-shirts, jumpers or jackets as it makes it difficult for teachers to correct posture, etc.
- Ballet students are not allowed to wear any form of bike pants or dance pants in class.
- Senior hip hop students do not have to wear the studio uniform. Though we would ask that they keep to the studio colours (Navy, light Blue & Red) so that some uniformity can be maintained.
- Hair must be tied back and out of the face. No student will be allowed to dance with their hair down.
- Stockings or socks MUST be worn with all footwear for hygienic and comfort reasons
