Taryn’s career began as a child in TV commercials and guest roles on television series such as ‘Breakers’, ‘Always Greener’ and ‘Home and Away’. After studying all forms of dance, singing and acting from a very early age, she graduated from the Brent Street Performing Arts Fulltime course in 2003.
In 2004, Taryn began her adult career in the entertainment industry by travelling around the world performing in various children’s shows. At home in Australia, she went on to dance in the feature film ‘Happy Feet’, ‘Boy From Oz’- the musical, starring Hugh Jackman and toured Australia and New Zealand playing the character of ‘Fairy Larissa’ for The Wiggles.
Taryn started teaching in 2004 and has continued to teach all styles of dance, singing and acting at various schools around Sydney. We can look forward to seeing Taryn as the host on the children’s TV series ‘The Amazing House’ very soon on ABC 2.
“Teaching performing Arts to children is the best kind of job – because it doesn’t feel like a job! I’m lucky enough to hang out with these creative, talented and spirited little humans and share my knowledge and passion for singing, dancing and acting with them. Their enthusiasm and fearlessness is inspiring – we learn from each other.”
