Frequently Asked Questions

We'd be more than happy to send you one of our information packs to help answer any of your questions but for now, here's some frequently asked questions

1.

Can my child trial a class to see if he/she likes it?
We don’t doubt that your child will absolutely love our classes, but before committing to the enrolment your child can trial at a single class rate with no lock-in commitment so you can be sure it is the right class for your child.

2.

Is there an enrolment fee?
An annual non-refundable registration fee of $45.00 per student or $95.00 for a family (3 or more students) must be paid to cover administration costs, and intellectual property fees for music.

3.

Can I watch my child's classes?
Due to distractions that occur with parents and siblings in the room we offer one-way viewing windows and TV’s with CCTV cameras for each studio. ‘READY SET DANCE’ parents may sit in and watch the first class to help settle their young child into class. There are special tactics to help ease your child into class so please don’t worry if it takes a few classes for them to settle. Once they do they’re not going to want to leave!

4.

Do we need to purchase uniform and shoes?
All students must wear correct dance clothes and exercise correct grooming in all dance classes. All students are required to have the uniform within one month of commencing classes. Uniform not only enhances the student’s sense of importance as a dancer, but also empowers them to feel a sense of pride and ownership in their dance school and their dancing group. Complete uniform requirements which can be purchased at our studio are detailed in our info packs.

5.

What do they wear for their first ever lesson?
Any singlet or t-shirt and shorts are is fine to get started if you are not sure about your child’s confidence to participate in the class. Sneakers and bare feet are acceptable until you are sure that your child will be continuing the class.

6.

If we miss a class can it be made up on another day of the week?
Classes from Mini and above may NOT make up classes on another day. Only ‘READY SET DANCE’ classes may swap days during Terms 1, 2 and 3 if you miss a class. In term 4 each READY SET DANCE class works on a different routine for the end-of-year concert so it is too confusing for the students and teachers to have students swapping classes.

7.

Does my child need to participate in the concert?
Every child can be part of the All Starz Annual Concert which has been in the past an excellent performance opportunity for the students and professional exciting entertainment for the audience. It has also provided every student stage experience and self-confidence. The Concert is NOT compulsory but is highly recommended. It’s a great way to reward students for their hard work all year.

8.

Do we pay for costumes for the concert?
Costumes play an enormous part of portraying themes and give the students a taste of the magical world of stage. They reflect All Starz’ standard and add to the professionalism of the concert. Students will be required to purchase one costume per concert class that they participate in. For each class performed in the concert, a costume levy must be paid. This is a lay-by system for their costume so that you are not hit with a massive costume bill at Christmas time. Costume levies are paid at the same time as class fees in Terms 1, 2 and 3. Costume Levy does not apply to: Acrobatics, Stretch and Strength, Glee Club and Acting Classes.

9.

Is there parking on site?
We are located at 60B HENRY LAWSON DRIVE PEAKHURST NSW 2210. We have 13 car spots on site. However these fill pretty quickly. Off street parking exists on Ogilvy Street North as well as across the road at the Peakhurst West Shops on Ogilvy Street South.
