Week 8: Monday 9th September - Saturday 14th September

R U OK promotes mental health awareness through a simple yet powerful question: "Are you okay?"It encourages meaningful conversations to support those struggling with mental health issues and aims to reduce the stigma around mental health.

 

We will hold a lolly guessing competition as a fun and engaging activity for our dance community. Participants are encouraged to guess the number of lollies in the jar. The closest guess will win! Each entry is one gold coin donation. You can enter as many times as you like, and all money raised will go directly toward the R U OK organisation. 

Competition Season Communications 

 

Term 3 will see us head into the competition season as we meet up with some of Sydney's best studios to not only compete but also give the dancers performance experience and the opportunity to showcase their efforts as a team. Kicking the year off with a very successful Ultimate Dance Spectacular was a great way to debut some new routines and have a chance for us to see where we can improve before turning the heat up.

We will always aim to give you as much information as possible for every event; however, as we are not the event producers, sometimes information comes slightly later than the events we manage. In these instances, we will update you on our progress in securing more information as much as possible.

 

To Improve our communications, we are running all of our costume information, and performance scheduling through the DSP software. This means that more information will be readily available via your parent portal for all events and concerts. If you have not yet accessed your portal or require assistance, I strongly advise reaching out so we can help you set this up. We are looking to move more of our information to the portal to improve our information sharing.

Attendance

We want to take the opportunity to gently remind everyone of the importance of attendance. ​

While our teachers are very clever, it is nearly impossible for a dancer to learn and the team to succeed if everyone is not in the room. The importance only increases as we approach competitions and performances. If students cannot dance physically,  we request that they come to watch the classes and stay up to date with their choreography. 

​

All Starz Troupe is a team sport, and consideration for fellow troupe members is expected. For this reason, students who are away during the week before a competition/performance cannot perform in those events. Exceptions may be made for illness or injury at our discretion. â€‹â€‹

Auto Pay and Term Fees

​

As outlined in our 2024 troupe information pack and policies, Term 3 fees will be due on the 26th July. It is All Starz policy to be enrolled in the auto-pay system. Payments will still be accepted at reception by cash or card; if your account balance is $0.00 by the due date, Auto Pay will not deduct any funds from your nominated card. If you have not updated your card details, please log into the parent portal and update your payment method.

Facebook Group

If you haven't already, please join the relevant Facebook group for your age group. Here, we post lots of on the go updates and important information you will need throughout the year.
